Money Mileposts is a personal finance and retirement-planning application for iPhone. It helps you manually track financial accounts, debts, property, snapshots, savings goals, and retirement projections.

Where is my financial information stored?

Your financial information is stored locally in the app's private database on your iPhone.

Money Mileposts does not require an online account and does not transmit your financial data to a Money Mileposts server.

If you export a backup, that file is stored wherever you choose to save or share it, such as the Files app, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, or another device.

You are responsible for protecting exported backup files.

Can I connect Money Mileposts to my bank?

No. Money Mileposts is designed for manual account updates.

It does not connect to banks, brokerages, credit-card providers, or other financial institutions.

How do I back up or transfer my information?

Open Plan & Assumptions, then use Export Backup.

The exported JSON file includes your plan settings, accounts, contributions, property, debts, income history, snapshots, and related details.

Use Import Backup to replace the information currently stored in the app with information from a compatible backup file.

Importing a backup replaces information currently stored in the app. Consider creating a current backup before importing another file.

How do I delete my information?

Individual snapshots can be deleted from Snapshot History.

Accounts, contributions, properties, and debts can be archived inside the app.

To remove all locally stored Money Mileposts information from an iPhone, delete the Money Mileposts app from the device.

Before deleting the app, export a backup if you may want the information later.

How do I report a problem?

Email support@moneymileposts.com and, when possible, include:

  • A description of what happened
  • The steps that caused the problem
  • Your iPhone model
  • Your iOS version
  • A screenshot, if helpful
Please do not email account numbers, passwords, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive identifying information.

Are the projections guaranteed?

No.

Forecasts, savings estimates, Mileposts, retirement projections, and other calculations are educational planning tools based on the information and assumptions you enter.

They are estimates, not guarantees of future results or individualized investment, tax, legal, or financial advice.
